The Annual Tithing, now in it's 25th year, has become a symbol of unity for New Eden. It serves a reminder of the horrors and hardships faced by our ancestors in the Dark Days, and as a lesson that we may continue to learn from, to ensure that humanity never devolves to that darkness again. Every Tithe that enters the Arena becomes a beacon of hope, a symbol of strength, and an embodiment of love. Every Champion that survives is a reminder of New Eden's forgiveness, and a hero to which we all can look to for longevity in our great nation's future.

Today, a small group of dangerously deluded individuals have attempted to sabotage one of our country's finest traditions and, in doing so, have robbed twenty-one Provinceers of their chance at honour, victory and service. These self-proclaimed "rebels", claiming to stand for freedom and justice, killed twenty-one Tithes during today's bombing of the Arena Train. It is only thanks to the heroic efforts of on-board Enforcers, and Provinceers from 2, that the death count is not higher.
